Tasting notes
This high-altitude, mineral-driven wine combines the intensity of Tempranillo with remarkable freshness:
Colour: Deep dark cherry red ( picota ) with purple reflections.
Nose: Complex and powerful. You'll smell intense aromas of black fruit (ripe cherries, blackberries, blueberries), interwoven with notes of cloves , white chocolate , caramel , and a hint of vanilla from the new oak. The mineral origins (quartz, feldspar) add complexity.
Palate: Full and powerful, yet surprisingly lively and well-balanced by fine acidity. The tannins are present, long-lasting, and polished, indicating excellent aging potential. Despite its strength, the wine has a soft mouthfeel.
Finish: Very long and persistent , characterised by mineral freshness and hints of vanilla and orange peel.
Food Pairing
The 1076 Tinto 2020 is a gastronomic wine that requires robust and flavorful dishes:
Red Meat: Ideal with grilled steaks, lamb or chuletón (ribeye).
Stews: Rich, traditional beef stews.
Poultry: Roasted meat, such as roasted chicken or duck.
Cheeses: Spicy, matured cheeses.
In short: The Milsentayseis (1076) 2020 is a top wine from the Ribera del Duero that translates the extreme conditions of the highest vineyards into a wine of great depth, elegance and freshness.
