An elegant Garnacha with Burgundian finesse from the Sierra de Gredos
The 30,000 Maravadíes 2022 from Bodega Marañones is a superb expression of the Garnacha grape from the D.O. Vinos de Madrid, Sierra de Gredos sub-region. The name refers to the price paid in the 15th century for the Señorío de San Martín, where the vineyards are located. Old vines (30–70 years) on granite soils at 650–850 meters altitude give this wine an elegance and minerality that strongly contrasts with heavier Garnacha wines from other Spanish regions.
