The AIURRI Landua 2022 is the entry-level wine from the innovative Bodega Aiurri project — 'aiurri' means 'character' in Basque. A brilliant, modern expression of Rioja Alavesa, the northernmost sub-region, known for its elegant and refined style. The Landua reflects the unique influence of the Atlantic Ocean and the calcareous soils at the foot of the Sierra de Toloño.

Mainly Tempranillo, supplemented with Graciano and Garnacha — from old vines (50–100 years) from small plots

D.O.Ca. Rioja Alavesa, Spain (including Leza and San Vicente de la Sonsierra)
Vinification
Vinified per plot, with spontaneous fermentations in French oak barrels and concrete tanks
Aging
Approx. 9–12 months in French oak barrels, followed by a period in concrete tanks

Expressive and elegant — red fruit (cherries, raspberries), floral notes, spices, fine minerality and subtle wood touches
